"FIELD OF DREAMS"

"Using Sports Science to Achieve High Performance in Sport."
All coaches want athletes with explosive acceleration, lightening responses and reactions, control of movements and a reduced incidence of injury. All athletes, regardless of their size, shape, age or level, can improve their fundamental movement ability and enjoy improved performance with Fast Feet's systematic and progressive training programmes.
The benefits of Fast Feet are improved quickness (acceleration); improved agility; improved speed; improved balance (body control); improved ball skill and technique; improved fitness level.
Quickness is a SKILL, not a birth trait. Like all skills it can be developed and improved. If athletes develop quickness, their ability to react will be improved and therefore their reaction time to opposition athlete movements will speed up. Fast Feet helps to develop this skill through specialized acceleration and training techniques that improve the efficiency of the neuro-muscular system.
Agility is the ability to get your body near the ball, into space or close to the opposition. In team sports such as football, rugby etc, agility and reaction speed is where space is created or lost. The quicker an athlete can position themselves, the more available options there are. Agility drills are progressively developed once fast feet patterns have been established. Agility is developed as the result of moving the body more efficiently through fast feet movements.
Athletes are constantly moving at different speeds and directions and as such, require a combination of multi-directional movements to be performed at speed and often under pressure from opposition. That is why rapid foot work and correct foot placement is a critical factor. Although it takes 40-50m to reach top running speed, sport's most vital distances for success are 5m to 30m. Therefore, the ability to accelerate quickly is very important. Fast Feet focuses on efficient biomechanics which then translates to running faster and more efficiently and remaining injury free.
The more skilled athletes are with feet movements, the more balanced and stable they will be. If athletes are poor at adjusting their feet, they will continually be caught off balance and relinquish the position of power. Fast Feet will help athletes gain better control of where their body is in relation to the ball and or the opposition. An athlete who gets to the ball first, the space first and is difficult to beat in defence, will always have an advantage and so too, will the team.
